Wine Sessions - De Ladoucette

The sixth Wine Session meeting will be held with De Ladoucette, one of the most acclaimed and long lived wine cellers of the Bourgogne region.

De Ladoucette’s history traces back to 1787, the year when the owners at the time, the Comte Lafond family, purchased territories from the illegitimate daughter of the French King Louis XV. In 1972, the Baron of the Ladoucette inherited the original lands and extended them by purchasing plots in the Sancerre, Pouilly-Fuissé, Chablis, Champagne, Vouvray regions, thus expanding the family’s centuries-old wine producing activities.

Today, the maison of Ladoucette is able to combine to perfection innovational technology with the traditional culture of wine growing, while simultaneously aiming to keep the link between the territory and its microclimate unaltered and to create, in each region, products of highest quality.

The tradition recognizes that each plot and every single cru are vinified separately, so to give value and enhance the intrinsic characteristics of the fruit and the peculiarities derived from the composition of the soil: from the destemming to the pressing, from the fermentation, at a controlled temperature, to the ageing, each stage is strictly supervised and managed in a way that the grapes’ distinctions, according to the products’ origins, remain unaltered when processed.

The current owner, the Baron Patrick de Ladoucette, praises a wide range of excellent and renowned white wines, universally recognized at the top of the french oenological production.

During the dinner you will taste the following wines:
Pouilly Fume 2015
Sancerre Comte Lafond 2016
Baron de L 2014
